Teen woman randomly stabbed by cyclist in The Hague on Thursday morning

An 18-year-old woman was stabbed by a man who was cycling past in The Hague on Thursday morning. According to Omroep West, the attack happened at random. Police are currently searching for the suspect. The victim has been taken to the hospital.

Police and paramedics were dispatched to the Prinsengracht at 8:23 a.m. after receiving a report that the woman had been stabbed in the leg with a “sharp object.” The incident took place in front of a hostel. She did not seem to know the suspect, who fled towards the Schilderswijk area.

According to the police, the suspect is between 15 and 20 years old. He has a dark complexion and short, dark hair. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and a black sweater. He was riding a small, bright orange bicycle with black saddlebags.

Any witnesses who saw the incident or have any relevant information are urged to report this to the police. Police said that they can “really use the help of witnesses.” Any camera footage of the Prinsengracht is also being requested by the police.
