Code yellow issued for strong winds in Wadden area and Northern Noord-Holland

The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a yellow weather warning for strong wind gusts in the Wadden Area and northern Noord-Holland until 12:00 p.m. Sunday.

Forecasters said gusts from the northwest could reach speeds of 75 to 90 kilometers per hour. KNMI warned that the wind may cause disruptions to traffic and outdoor activities.

Friesland may also experience strong gusts, though no official yellow warning has been issued for the province.

Authorities urged residents and travelers to remain cautious while outdoors or driving during the high winds.
