Suspect arrested after "violent attempted break-in" at Israeli Embassy in The Hague

Police arrested a suspect Friday evening following an incident at the Israeli embassy in The Hague, authorities said. The embassy described the incident as a “violent attempt at a break-in.”

A spokesperson said the suspect was found carrying “arson materials.” All embassy staff were reported safe.

“We thank the police for the quick arrest and expect the government to take appropriate measures and condemn this attack,” the embassy said in a statement.

The arrest follows a previous vandalism incident at the same embassy last month, when the entrance was defaced with red paint. Three suspects were apprehended at that time.
