Man found dead in Beek home; Police suspect homicide
A 34-year-old man was found dead Friday night in a home on Frans Erensstraat in Beek, and police say they are seriously considering that he was killed in a crime. The man, a resident of Beek, was discovered around 9 p.m. under circumstances that led officers to suspect foul play, according to a statement released Friday by the police.
“Forensic evidence and the scene in which the victim was found give strong reason to consider the possibility that he died as a result of a criminal act,” the police said. The area around the home has been cordoned off to allow for technical investigation, and officers have launched a full forensic examination.
Investigators are actively speaking with local residents and anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of Frans Erensstraat on Friday. Police are urging people with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
