Dutch police “urgently” looking for British man, 34, missing in Amsterdam

The Dutch authorities are searching for 34-year-old Ryan Jones, a British man who went missing in Amsterdam on Sunday, May 4. The police described this as an “urgent” missing person case.

Ryan was in Amsterdam with friends for the weekend. At 2:17 p.m. on Sunday, he accompanied his group of friends to Schiphol Airport, where he realized that he had forgotten his passport and split off from the group. “Since then, there has only been brief telephone contact with him,” the police said.

The police did not say why they consider the case urgent, but asked anyone who noticed Ryan since Sunday afternoon or knows anything about his current whereabouts to contact them at once.

Ryan is 1.93 meters tall, has light brown hair, brown eyes, and may be wearing a white baseball cap. He has a tattoo on his right forearm.

“We are supporting the family of a British man reported missing in the Netherlands and are in contact with the local authorities,” a spokesperson for the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office told The Sun.
