Unpredictable weather expected for Easter weekend after warm start to April
As the warm weather of Saturday draws to a close, a shift toward more unpredictable conditions is forecasted for the coming week, with fluctuating temperatures and rain showers. The possibility of a warm Easter weekend remains uncertain, as the weather continues to evolve, according to weeronline.
On Saturday, the Netherlands experienced plenty of sunshine, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 24 degrees. The southeastern regions reportedly saw even warmer conditions, reaching up to 25 degrees, marking what could be the first summer-like day of the year. Meanwhile, the Wadden Islands enjoyed a mild 18 degrees.
So far in April, the country has seen little to no rain, but that dry spell will soon end. Overnight, starting from the southwest, the chances of rain will begin to increase, signaling the start of a more variable weather pattern. While some days next week will remain dry with sunshine, a few showers are expected to develop each day. Tuesday and Wednesday, in particular, may experience more persistent rain.
As the week progresses, temperatures will also dip. By the middle of the week, afternoon temperatures are expected to range from 11 to 15 degrees—typical for this time of year but 7 to 10 degrees cooler than the current Saturday's warmth.
While it is clear that the coming week will bring more variable and cooler weather, the forecast for the Easter weekend remains uncertain. There is a possibility that temperatures could rise slightly to between 13 and 18 degrees, but there is also a chance that the weather will remain relatively unchanged.
The likelihood of rainfall will decrease, though showers are still expected, and the sunny conditions many hope for during the holiday weekend may not fully materialize. At this point, it seems unlikely that the Easter weekend will bring the same warm, sunny weather as this Saturday.
