Almost six million people traveled through Schiphol in June, more than last year

There were almost six million passengers in Schiphol in June, which is five percent more than the number in the year before. The number of flights arriving and departing from the airport also went up.

According to Schiphol, 3.8 million of these people were at Schiphol for departures or arrivals. In addition, 2.1 million passengers had a transfer at Schiphol. These are more than 1 million unique passengers, who are counted twice according to the international counting method: as passengers on arrival and as passengers on departure.

Most passengers who departed from Schiphol traveled to Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Greece, and the United States.

The number of flights to and from the airport increased by 5 percent compared to last year to 40,857. The majority of these were European flights.
