On Tuesday around 11:30 a.m., the perpetrator entered the waiting room after registering as a new patient due to a toothache. He registered at the counter and patiently sat in the waiting room.
Shortly afterwards, he entered the treatment room with the dentist. There, the man suddenly pulled out a hammer and threatened the dentist. He demanded his silver Rolex Daytona and ran off with the valuable watch shortly afterwards.
The dentist followed the perpetrator and saw him running away in the direction of Verbeetenstraat. There, the perpetrator jumped on the back of a person who rode away on a small, dark scooter toward Scheldestraat. The police immediately launched an investigation. Officers conducted a neighborhood search and are looking into possible surveillance footage.
