Man, 61, stabbed while waiting for online date
A 61-year-old man from Uden was stabbed and assaulted by three young men while he was waiting for an online date in Tilburg on Monday night, the police said in a statement on Tuesday. The police are looking for the perpetrators.
The man was waiting in his car on Alpenlaan at around 10:00 p.m. when the car door opened. One young man stabbed the man in the side and cut his cheek. They took his car keys and walked away.
The man tried to find help, but no one opened the door for him, so he returned to his car, the police said. The perpetrators came back. One of them punched the man in the face, knocking out three of his teeth.
When the police arrived at the scene, the three young men were nowhere to be found. Investigators call on witnesses, or anyone with information about the perpetrators or camera footage of the incident, to come forward.
