Dutch man, 30, drowns while vacationing in Italy
A 30-year-old man from Barneveld drowned while vacationing in Pisogne in northern Italy. His body was found in Lake Iseo on Saturday, five days after he disappeared in the water. "Five terrible, debilitating days of uncertainty have come to an end", his parent's wrote on Facebook. "Today they found our son Henry."
Henry was vacationing in Italy with his wife and two daughters. Other visitors to the campsite where the family stayed told Eindhovens Dagblad that the Dutch man was riding on an inflatable tire that was pulled over the lake by a motorboat. He fell off the tire and disappeared under water. The local emergency services immediately launched a search for him, but it was to no avail.
Henry's parents describe him as "a sweet son, a loyal husband, a fantastic dad, a stout brother, a brother-in-law, a son-in-law, a grandchild that we have to miss far too early".
