Tilburg neighborhood hit by six fires in two hours

The Tilburg neighborhood of Goirke Hasselt rang in August with fire. There were six fires in the neighborhood between midnight and 2:00 a.m. on Thursday. Scooters, a caravan, and a company car, among other things, went up in flames, Brabants Dagblad reports.

The first fire was reported at around midnight. A fence was on fire on Lambert De Wijsstraat. At around 00:30 a.m. a police officer was extinguishing two burning scooters on Goirkestraat, around 300 meters away from the first fire. He managed to dampen the flames using multiple fire extinguishers, according to the newspaper.

At 1:30 a.m. a scooter was on fire on Professor Rogierhof. Twenty minutes later a caravan burned out completely on Willem Knuttelstraat. At 2:00 a.m. a company car was set alight on Van Alphenstraat. The last fire happened at 2:10 a.m. on Bataviastraat, where two wheelie bins were burning.

The police are investigating.
