Woman, 25, dies after stabbing in Vlaardingen home
A 25-year-old woman died in hospital after being stabbed in a Vlaardingen apartment just after midnight on Tuesday. A 28-year-old man was arrested as a suspect, RTV.Rijnmond reports.
The police responded to the home on Van 't Hoffstraat at around 00:30 a.m. A firetruck platform was used to get the victim out of the third floor apartment. She was rushed to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Two other women were in the home at the time of the stabbing and provided first aid to the victim. One of them sustained minor injuries to her hand, according to the broadcaster.
The suspect was arrested on Van Leeuwenhoekstraat after the stabbing. Eyewitnesses saw him fleeing the home on Van 't Hoffstraat without a shirt on. He resisted arrest to such an extent that the police officers had to use a taser to overpower him, according to the police.
