"At first there was only an ambulance, but a few minutes later the police arrived. Then I noticed something was wrong", neighbor Boelo Lubbers said to RTV Noord. "The police walked in and out, some time later the neighbor was brought to a police car with his hands behind his back."
A family with two young children of foreign origin live in the home, Lubbers said to the broadcaster. "Very social, nice people. They always waved and greeted, a very normal family."
Another neighbor, Wouter Korhorn, occasionally helped the family with chores or the language. "This is quite a shock, I don't understand any of it", he said.
