Boy stabbed at Gelderland train station; minor arrested

An underage boy was stabbed at the train station in Dieren on Monday afternoon. He was rushed to hospital in serious condition. Another underage boy was arrested, the Rheden police said on Twitter.

The stabbing happened at around 12:45 p.m. at the station's bus stop.. A spokesperson for the police told De Gelderlander that the victim was taken to the Radboud hospital in Nijmegen and is now in a stable condition. 

Exactly what happened, is not yet clear. The police are investigating and already spoke to multiple witnesses. 

The victim attends vocational school De Tender, which is part of Het Rhedens, general director Mirjam Bunt said to the newspaper. The perpetrator attends Het Rhedens on Doesburgsedijk.
