Dutch victim dies 3 months after Munster attack
One of the two Dutch who were seriously injured during an attack in Munster in April, passed away. The 56-year-old man from Albergen succumbed to his injuries, his family confirmed to RTV Oost.
The man had been kept in a coma for months and underwent dozens of surgeries. His girlfriend was also injured in the attack, sustaining multiple fractures.
The Dutch man is the fourth person to die in the attack, which involved a man crashing into a crowded terrace with his camper. Two victims died at the scene, the third a few weeks later. Dozens of people were injured.
The perpetrator, 48-year-old Jens R., committed suicide after his act. He was known to have psychiatric problems, and the local authorities believe the attack did not have terrorist motives.
