Missing Dutch woman found alive on Cuba

The missing 19-year-old Anouk van Luijk was found alive on Cuba and reunited with her parents. She is doing well under the circumstances, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, RTL Nieuws reports.

The Ministry would not say what happened to the young Dutch woman, or where she's been over the past days, for privacy reasons.

Anouk traveled to the Caribbean island on July 7th. She disappeared on July 21st. She was supposed to fly back to the Netherlands on that day, but never showed up for her flight. That was also the last day her family had contact with her.

According to RTL, Anouk's family was very concerned about her because she has psychological problems and has to take medicine against psychoses.
