Boy, 14, beaten up in Tilburg

The police are investigating the assault of a 14-year-old boy in Tilburg last month. The boy was beaten up by a group of other boys on the Nassauplein. He sustained torn eardrums, Omroep Brabant reports.

Someone recorded the incident and put the video on Dumpert. The video shows the boy being kicked and beaten by several other boys - even after he fell to the ground. The assault happened on April 21st. The victim filed a police report two days later.

"It is bizarre that so much violence was used by the young perpetrators", a spokesperson for the police said to the broadcasters.

So far no arrests were made, though the police have an idea about who the perpetrators are. The police would not comment on the motive for the assault. "In the interest of the investigation and the young age of the perpetrators, we will not go into that", the police said.
