Royalty fans await King, Queen in Groningen

Excitement is mounting in Groningen as people line the streets, waiting for the Royal Family to arrive.

King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima and their three daughters are set to arrive at 11:00 a.m. Other members of the Royal Family attending the festivities in Groningen include Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien, the King's cousins Princes Maurits, Bernhard, Pieter-Christiaan and Floris, and their wives. Princes Anita, Prince Pieter-Christiaan's wife, will not be there because she is sick, according to NOS.

The Royal Family will arrive at Prinsenhof at 11:00 a.m. Then they will walk 1,200 meters through the city and enjoy the program Groningen prepared for them. The walk will end on Vismarkt around 2:00 p.m.

Groningen expects between 60 thousand and 80 thousand visitors, according to the Telegraaf.
