Renters in the Netherlands feel that they pay too much for what they get. Many wish they had a garden or that their home was larger.
Nearly 75 percent of people starting out in the housing market would prefer to buy a home instead of rent. But rising home prices make buying a home too expensive. And due to increasing demand and decreasing offer, actually finding a home to buy often proves impossible.
Homeowners in the Netherlands are much happier on the housing market. Two thirds say they live in their ideal home.
