Murder-suicide suspected in Velserbroek deaths

The police believe that the two persons found dead in a Velserbroek home on Tuesday night were killed in a murder-suicide. The victims are a 25-year-old woman from Velserbroek and a 41-year-old man from Tilburg, the police said in a statement on Wednesday.

There are indications that the man killed the woman and then committed suicide, the police said. The investigation is still ongoing.

The bodies were found around 8:00 p.m. in a home on A. Le Notrelaan. Earlier in the evening the police responded to reports of a fight in the home. Officers found nothing and did not enter the home. After a second report later in the evening, the police did enter the home and found the two bodies.
