Suspect arrested for young woman's death; body found in New Year's fire

The police arrested a suspect in connection with the death of Nathalie Polak. The 21-year-old woman was found dead on New Year's morning after a fire in her apartment on Concorde in Buren.

An autopsy on the young woman's body revealed that she was killed in a crime, the Gelderlander reports. There were also signs of arson in her flat.

Nathalie lived on the top floor of the apartment building. That part of the building is rented by a mental health institution for assisted-living, according to Omroep Gelderland.

The suspect is a 46-year-old man from Tiel. Whether he knew Nathalie is unclear.
