Tiny 8m2 Amsterdam apartment listed for €550 per month

A new rental listing on closed Facebook group Woningen te huur in Amsterdam is another example of the housing market madness currently facing the Dutch capital. The teeny tiny apartment in Amsterdam Oud West is only 8 square meters big, and is listed for 550 euros per month, Het Parool reports.

The apartment features a shower, basin, a small cooking area and "sufficient storage", according to the listing. The new tenant will have to share a toilet though. "Within 7 minutes of cycling you are on Leidseplein and with 3 minutes of walking you are in Vondelpark or in the cozy Kinkerstraat."

The tiny apartment also has a roof terrace of 6 square meters. A few Facebook commenters suggested that the new tenant pitch a tent on the terrace.

Last month a ramshackle flat of 49 square meters, also located near Vondelpark, was listed for sale at 340 thousand euros
