Man crashes into Rotterdam theater at high speed

A motorist crashed into the new Luxor Theater in Rotterdam at high speed on Thursday morning. When emergency workers tried to free the wounded man from the car, he vehemently resisted, RTL Nieuws reports.

The driver was taken to hospital for treatment. There a blood test was done to see whether he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the police reported.

The man crashed through the theater's glass front around 3:00 a.m. on Thursday. The damage to the building is being investigated. The police are also investigating how the accident happened.
