Nijmegen police station evacuated after hand grenade delivery
A police station on Muntweg in Nijmegen was evacuated after someone dropped off a hand grenade at the station on Tuesday afternoon. The area around the police station was closed down to the public, and explosive experts are on the way to remove the grenade, the police said on Twitter.
Operational services are continuing as usual, but appointments with citizens were canceled. "We hope this will take as short as possible", the Nijmegen police tweeted.
Who delivered the grenade, or where he or she came by it, was not revealed.
