Two arrested in connection with body found in Amsterdam home

Two people turned themselves in at a police station in connection with the murder of a 51-year-old man, who was found dead in a home on Nova Zemblastraat in Amsterdam on Sunday evening, AD reports.

The police responded to the home around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, after receiving a report that someone may be dead inside. Responding officers found the man's body. The circumstances in which he was found immediately led the police to believe he was murdered. A large scale investigation was launched.

At around 10:45 p.m. two people turned themselves in at a police station, claiming to be involved in the murder. The 22-year-old man and 52-year-old woman were both arrested and are still in custody.
