Baby's remains found in rubbish bag near Rotterdam theater

A plastic bag containing remains was found in some bushes near the Luxor Theater in Rotterdam. Whether the remains are human has not been confirmed, but NOS reporter Robert Bas told the broadcaster he saw "something like a human skull".

A passerby reported the plastic bag to the police on Thursday morning. It is lying among some plants on the Antoine Platekade in Rotterdam-Zuid, close to the theater and the court.

A local resident told NOS that he noticed the bag on Tuesday already, but had no idea what was in it.

The police closed down the area around the Antoine Platekade. A doctor will examine the bag during the course of Thursday afternoon.
