Later a "Sensation Black" edition followed, held between 2002 and 2008, in which visitors had to dress in all black and heavier house music was played.
The Sensation parties soon expanded to the rest of the world, with 34 countries spread over 5 continents now holding their own version fo the dance festival .
According to a spokesperson of the Dutch Sensation, the concept will not completely disappear from the Netherlands and something new will come in its place. No comment on what exactly that will be however.
