Eindhoven Airport evacuated over unattended bag
Several hundred passengers were evacuated from Eindhoven Airport on Tuesday morning after the discovery of an unattended bag. Dogs trained to sniff out explosives were deployed. The bag contained nothing suspicious and the airport was opened again, AD reports.
The evacuation did lead to delays for football team PSV, who was scheduled to travel to Madrid for a Champons League match against Atletico Madrid. Their plane was scheduled for departure 15 minutes after the evacuation ocurred.
According to NOS, the football team was not at the airport yet and their bus simply turned around and retured to training complex De Herdgang.
