Unions announce more KLM cabin crew strikes at Schiphol
The KLM cabin crew members will again be striking before each departing flight at Schiphol oon Wednesday. The plan is to strike for 40 minutes before each flight unions VNC and FNV announced on Monday.
The cabin crew members are striking over KLM's plan to reduce the number of crew members on some longer flights. The strikes started out as 10 minute strikes before flights and steadily increased. Last week the strikes lasted 30 minutes
According to the unions, the court gave permission for these short strikes. The court will rule on Tuesday on a lawsuit KLM filed in an effort to force the unions back into negotiations.
