Over 1,000 kg illegal fireworks confiscated in Hague investigation

The Hague police confiscated over a thousand kilograms of illegal fireworks during an investigation on Thomsonlaan on Tuesday, the police said in a statement. The fireworks weren't stored according to the safety standards. After consulting with the environmental police and the municipality of The Hague, the police decided to confiscate them. Further investigation revealed that the confiscated fireworks were not approved by the safety standards. It is unclear why the police were investigating on Thomsonlaan.
