PVV MP's surprised by party's election program

PVV leader Geert Wilders caught his own party by surprise with the sudden publication of the party's only one page long election campaign program, several PVV parliamentarians said to RTL Nieuws. According to the party members, the election campaign was written by Wilders himself along with MP's Sietse Fritsma and Barry Madlener. The rest of the party received the program by email only an hour before it was published on Facebook. They weren't asked to comment, only notified of the program's imminent publishing. Wilders' program calls for a complete bans on mosques, preventative detention of "radical Muslims", closing the borders to asylum seekers from Muslim countries, a ban on Islamic headscarves in public places and on “Islamic statements that are contrary to public order”. RTL reports that one PVV parliamentarian, who wasn't mentioned by name, feels that the content of the program goes too far. The parliamentarian is considering giving up his or her place in the Tweede Kamer - the lower house of Dutch parliament - if the program isn't adjusted and expanded.
