Over 80,000 visit int’l fireworks fest in Scheveningen

The opening evening of the International Fireworks Festival Scheveningen on Friday drew over 80 thousand visitors, the organization announced. The festival kicked off by firework displays from the Netherlands and Belgium. Alderman Boudewijn Revis and entrepreneurs Tony Tetro and Jim Hoogendorp lit the first fireworks. Hoogendorp and Tetro are the ambassadors for the foundation Blijf Vrouw, the charity partner associated with the event this year. On Saturday South Korea and China had a chance to show wow the crowds with their best fireworks. The last two days of the event are coming up late this week. On Friday Spain and Italy will be showing of their fireworks. And Poland and Germany will close the event on Saturday.
