Contract talks for KLM ground crew falters

Negotiations between union FNV Luchtvaart and the KLM management on a new collective bargaining agreement for the ground staff, reached a stalemate on Monday, Mariette van Dijk of FNV confirmed to ANP. The union will discuss the situation with its members on Tuesday, and if they agree, KLM will be given an ultimatum on Wednesday. According to FNV, productivity increased at the airline, while working conditions deteriorated. The ongoing reorganization at KLM also means that many of the ground staff will soon be redundant.
