Prosecutor officially investigating DuPont chemical poisonings
The Public Prosecutor is officially investigating the use of hazardous chemicals C8 and DMAc at chemical factory DuPont in Dordrecht, a spokesperson confirmed to news wire ANP.
The spokesperson would not make any substantive comments on the investigation, only saying that DuPont is suspected of committing criminal offenses.
The Inspectorate for Social Affairs and Employment launched an investigation into the company's operations between 1975 and 1990 following reports of DuPont employees struggling with health problems after years of working with poisonous C8 in the Teflon factory and DMAc in the Lycra factory.
