Parents arrested for baby's death

The police and Public Prosecutor are investigating the the death of a baby, who died of what seems to be abuse in a Rotterdam hospital two weeks ago. His parents were arrested on Tuesday, the police said in a statement. On Monday, May 23rd, the police received a report that a baby was admitted to the Sophia Children's Hospital in Rotterdam. The baby boy had serious injuries across his body and the hospital suspected that he was abused. He died in hospital a day later. The Netherlands Forensic Institute performed an autopsy on the baby's body, to determine cause of death. The police did not reveal what the NFI found, but did arrest the baby's parents on Tuesday, June 7th. They are in custody for further investigation.
