Employment agencies must include over-50's in job interviews

Employment agencies looking for job candidates have to include at least one person over the age of 50 in the interviewees they send to their clients, according to employment agencies ABU and NBBU, NU.nl reports. This call forms part of campaign Open to 50 plus by MKB-Nederland and benefits agencies UWV. According to the organizations, attention to over 50 year olds' position on the labor market is very necessary. "We think that 50-plussers should have the opportunity to use their skills and abilities in the current job market", Jurrien Koops, director of ABU, said according to the news agency. This campaign was launched in 2014 but got a renewed push on Monday with readio spots after ABU and NBBU joined.
