Teenager arrested for two armed robberies

A 16-year-old boy from Eemnes was arrested on Monday morning in connection with two armed robberies in Huizen last year, the police announced.  The boy is suspected of robbing the Kruidvat on Oostermeent-Noord on September 18th and a florist on October 2nd. In both cases he used a weapon and fled on foot with stolen money in a plastic bag. The victims in both robberies also reported that he seemed nervous. Due to these similarities, the police assumed that both armed robberies were committed by the same person. Footage of the robberies were shown on Opsporing Verzocht last week. About 20 tips were received, leading the police to the young robber. The boy was arrested in Eemnes on Monday morning. He is in custody for further investigation.
