Booking.com CEO resigns over affair with employee

Darren Huston is stepping down as CEO of hotel reservation site Booking.com and also of parent company Priceline Group with immediate effect. He broke the company's internal codes of conduct by having an affair with one of his employees at the Amsterdam head office, RTL Nieuws reports. The company only stated that Huston had a "personal relationship" with an employee that did not work directly under him. Further details were not disclosed. Huston's duties at Priceline will temporarily be covered by Jeffery Boyd, who was CEO of the company between 2002 and 2013. At Booking.com he will be replaced by Gillian Tans, currently operational director. The company will pay for Huston's move back to America.
