Prosecutor calls for add’l prison time in fatal speedboat crash

The Public Prosecutor filed an appeal against the court's ruling on a fatal speedboat accident on a Vinkeveen lake in 2014, ANP reports. Two weeks ago the court found Arnoud H. guilty of negligence in the accident that killed two people, and sentenced him to four years in prison. The Prosecutor demanded eight years. The court decided there was not enough evidence to prove manslaughter or attempted manslaughter. The Prosecutor disagrees and is therefore filing appeal. "H. knew that there was a big risk to speeding without lights and under the influence of alcohol", the prosecutor said to news wire ANP.
