Boy, 3, killed by tractor while playing on farm

A 3-year-old boy was killed on a farm in Scharendijke, Zeeland on Friday morning in an accident with a tractor. The police believe the boy was playing on the farm when the tractor ran over him. The boy lived on the farm on Kapelleweg. According to the police, the accident happened around 11:00 a.m. Emergency services responded en masse and very quickly, but nothing could be done for the boy. The young victim died at the scene. It is unclear who was driving the tractor when the accident happened. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding what happened. Witnesses are being questioned and the forensic team is performing a trace evidence investigation.
