Police hunt six accused of beating Groningen hospital visitor

The police are looking for six suspects who assaulted a visitor at the University Medical Center Groningen on August 23rd. A video showing surveillance camera photos of the suspects was released on Friday. According to the police, the incident happened around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday the 23rd of August. A 22 year old Groningen man was waiting near the hospital's main entrance on Hanzeplein with two female friends when they had an altercation with six unidentified young men. The six young men attacked the 22 year old, punching him and kicking him. One stole the victim's bicycle and sped away towards Petrus Campersingel and then towards the Linnaeusplein. The other five kept kicking and punching the victim until their friend was out of site. They then fled on foot towards Petrus Campersingel. The victim had to be admitted to the hospital for treatment. His bicycle was found on the corner of Hanzeplein and Petrus Campersingel.
