One man shot in Noordwijk

The police are investigating a shooting in Noordwijk on Thursday night in which a 44 year old man from Wiesbaden was injured. The shooting happened around 9:00 p.m. on the Koningin Astrid Boulevard, according to the police. The victim was walking along the bike path in the dunes. When he reached the end of the Boulevard he noticed a man standing in front of a large dark car. The man shot him, jumped in the car and drove away. The victim was taken to the hospital and officers were able to speak with him to get a statement. The police are investigating the shooting and call on witnesses to come forward. Investigators would like to talk to anyone who may have noticed the car - it may have been parked on the Boulevard for some time, or drove past repeatedly.
