Underage Instagram sexting scandal reaches Tilburg city council

The nude photos of underage Tilburg school students circulating on Instagram, reached the attention of the city council. The biggest party in the city D66 posed questions about the matter to the council on Sunday, Omroep Brabant reports. The D66 wants to know what the scale of the matter is and how the responsible alderman was informed about problems surrounding nude pictures of minors being distributed. The party also wants to know from the college whether the municipality is doing anything to prevent the "sexting" phenomenon. Last week the police launched an investigation into the distribution of child pornography via Instagram. Photos and videos of dozens of students of the Tilburg Vakcollege and the 2College in Oisterwijk, among others, are circulating through the social media site.
