Safari park’s rhinos, monkeys celebrate Christmas

Christmas time isn't only an exciting time for humans. The animals at safari park Beekse Bergen also get a special meal, including delicious food not part of their usual menu. The chimpanzees and gorillas even get their special lunch wrapped up like a present. Their Christmas meal consists of a vegetable trio of daikon carrot and paprika, Joke Priester from Beekse Bergen told broadcaster NOS. The hippos get pumpkins and lions have rabbit on the menu. According to Priester, animals are just like people when it comes to Christmas dinner. They'll stuff themselves on Christmas, and make up for it by eating a little less the next day. https://twitter.com/JosBosboom_/status/680314865160830976
