King to swear in new Infrastructure, Economic Affairs deputies

King Willem-Alexander will be swearing in Sharon Dijksma as the new State Secretary of Infrastructure and Environment and Martijn van Dam as the new State Secretary of Economic Affairs at the Palace Noordeinde on Tuesday evening, the Royal House announced. Prime Minister Mark Rutte nominated both Dijksma and Van Dam to the King for their prospective new rolls. The King will be receiving them at 7:00 p.m.

Sharon Dijksma, currently the State Secretary of Economic Affairs, will be taking over from Wilma Mansveld. Manveld resigned last week following the report on the Fyra debacle.

Martijn van Dam will then be taking over from Dijksma at the Ministry of Economic Affairs. He is currently the deputy chairman of the PvdA in the Tweede Kamer, lower house of parliament.
