Wageningen Univ. the best in Netherlands, VU favorite in Amsterdam

Wageningen University is the best university in the Netherlands. In Amsterdam the Vrije Universiteit, or Free University, has come out on top. Technical University Twente has the unhappiest students. This is according to the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2016, which was published on Monday, NU reports. The University guide assessed a total of 404 undergraduate programs based on, among other things, statistics on study success, expert judgement and the judgement of students. This is the 10th year in a row that Wageningen University has come out on top in the university guide. A massive 15 of the university's 19 courses can be labelled "top courses". Throughout the Netherlands, 52 courses have been awarded the "top course" label. Technical, exact and green courses did particularly well. Popular courses such as law, economics and psychology were rarely labelled "top". VU Amsterdam managed to outrank the University of Amsterdam for the first time in four years. Technical University Eindhoven was named the best technical university in the country.
