Beatrix to open Amsterdam Light Festival

Princess Beatrix will be opening fourth edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival this year. The festival kicks off on November 28. This year’s festival is dedicated to the theme of Friendship, which focuses on  the existence of mankind and the universal language of light to allow expression. The festival will display several sculptures, projections, and installations done by national and international artists. The two routes of the festival, Watercolors and Illuminade, will take onlookers past luminous works of art and nearby the Amsterdam plantation. The festival also intendeds to highlight the importance of friendship in Europe, with artists having created concepts that express European connection and friendship in their own vision.
