Man slain in Rotterdam shooting

A man has been left dead after a shooting incident took place at an apartment on the Zevenkampse Ring in Rotterdam on Wednesday night. When police, ambulance and a mobile detective team arrived on the scene it was already too late. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial reports by the media suggested that the shooting took place outside on the street but police reports have revealed that the shooting did in fact take place inside the building. Police have started a questioning people in the neighbourhood. Additionally, forensic detectives worked the stairwell, balcony and other areas searching for traces of any evidence. Police are also calling upon local residents who may have any information regarding the shooting to please step forward. The shooting took place in the area between Citer and Piccolo sections of the Zevenkampse Ring around 8:50 p.m. and police have asked residents to contact them regarding any suspicious activity see around that time, or if they may have noticed anyone fleeing round that time.
