Two biker gang members arrested in drug lab bust
Two members of motorcycle gang Satudarah was arrested on Tuesday as part of an joint intensified approach between the police and government in the fight against organized crime in Zuid-Nederland. A amphetamine laboratory was also discovered and dismantled.
The two arrested men, aged 32 and 41 years, both live in the vicinity of Heerlen. The police saw them leaving a hangar on Haefland, Brunssum in a car and followed them to a hangar in Heerlen, where they were arrested.
Around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday night a police SWAT team entered the hangar in Brunssum. They found no further suspects inside, but did discover a professional amphetamine laboratory. The National Support Facility Dismantling took it apart on Wednesday morning.
One of the suspects tried to hide a key in the backseat of the police car. The key opened the door to the hangar containing the drug lab.
Both suspects are in custody for questioning.
