Ax murderer in Dordrecht resident feud gets five years

The 61 year old man who murdered his upstairs neighbor with an ax in December, was sentenced to 5 years in prison. He also has to undergo psychiatric treatment and pay for his victim's funeral expenses. The court in Dordrecht made this ruling on Wednesday, NOS reports. The sentence corresponds to what the Public Prosecutor demanded against the suspect. The suspect, Gautemkoemar S., attacked his 67 year old upstairs neighbor with an ax in the doorway of their apartment building in Poortugaal in December. The suspect claimed that the woman harassed him and was purposefully noisy in order to irritate him into leaving. The court ruled that the man is guilty of murder, he did not act on a whim and deliberately sought out a confrontation with the woman.
